| Jon Fosse is a lyric poet, an author and a dramatist. He was born in 1959 in Haugesund and grew up in Strandebarm; for the last twenty years he has primarily been settled in Bergen. He has written a number of novels and poetry collections, but in the 1990's he has mostly written plays, which have been performed on many Norwegian and European stages. Translated by Louis Muinzer
